If the college runs this course in the first year, students can gain CLOC in this course. Diploma in Midwifery This takes up two years of the program. Students in this course can opt to do the CLOC in Advanced Midwifery after the first year. Basic Midwifery This is compulsory for all nursing students who intend to pursue a career in midwifery. Admissions into the classes are based on the department or program one is studying. How To Apply First of all, make sure you go to the college in person. This is a service provided to every student, by the college and it’s not mandatory.
The course is designed for people who already have a degree in a related field or are working in nursing. There are 2 sub categories of nursing students, namely, Midwifery and Nursing. Only the Midwifery students get to be called Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery students. Interested students need to be between 20 to 24 years, and they should have atleast 1 year of practical experience in a clinical setting. The good news is that the program also offers a variant of the course to working nurses called Midwifery Extended Studies and Midwifery. This one is four year long course after 2 year undergraduate diploma course. In this one, a student can study for the same duration as their regular course, but they will need to be enrolled for 2 years in order to complete the entire course.
After choosing a nursing stream of your preferred course, it is mandatory to sign the required waivers and instruments. Once you get your exam result, you will get to know your score and how close you are from your admission into the college of your choice. As a result, you need to choose a new stream.
