This system simplifies communication between position and distance sensors. In the form of a VSM, one unit can send information from zero to millions of the least significant bits. A conventional sensor provides information in the form of electrical pulses or voltages to a PC-based processing unit. LVDT is easier to create and distribute since electrical pulses are not needed to report the position of a button or light source. LVDT is a method used to control one or more drive units that may include a human or motor.
