SSLC (Sulakshana Samity Plus Two Examination) is an examination that is held every year for the 10th standard students of the state, Tamil Nadu in India. In the state, all the students must take this exam to earn the Certificate for obtaining the Higher Secondary Certificate. Every year, students from the 3,472 schools in Tamil Nadu prepare for this examination. This examination is conducted in ten languages – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Oriya, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, and Urdu. The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) assesses the language skills, contents, teaching practice, content, and type of questions asked.
