This should continue for two days if diarrhoea is not treated .Avoid taking ORS with any other liquids as it can make the diarrhoea worse. It is important to drink ORS without touching your nose or mouth because the vomit or droplets could make you sick .

The amount of ORS that you should use depends on the condition you are having. It is recommended to start with 2 to 4 quarts (roughly 1 liter) of ORS daily.
